I am interested in taking a whale watching tour at the end of January ‘09 in the Monterey area. The websites I visited say that it will be gray whale season and that humpback and blue whale season will have past. Are gray whale as interesting to go see as humpbacks and blues, or should I save my money till later in the year? Can anyone recommend a tour company? Thanks.

My family is taking a huge family vacation (my mom, sisters w/ family, and my husband and I) are going to Oahu from March 15-22, 2007. I was wondering if that is still a good time to go whale watching or not. Would you recommend a good company. I don’t want to spend the money if at that time the whales are starting to leave the Hawaii area. I want to actually see some.
In addition, my sisters were interested in swimming with dolphins. Does anyone know a good place where you actually get to swim (not just touch and learn about them) that are reasonably priced?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I was wondering, when I went to sea world, they called up volunteers to feed the whale, and they are really close to the whale and could fall in, but has anyone?
