I’ve been searching online and on the newspaper but they are all way above budget (US,000).

Do any of you know where i can find cheap 65-75ft sail yachts (non-luxury kind)?
EDIT (update on budget): Thanks to sponcership, I have expended my budget to US0,000.

Anyone knows where i can get a decent 70ft cross-ocean sail voyager for a crew of 3 men?

The boat’s 30ft LWL 25ft with 4000kg displacement. Maximum prop size is 13 in. Hull speed is about 7kts maximum. One engineer says I need to replace the old Watermota 33hp petrol engine with a minimum 28hp diesel. The other avers that a 16hp diesel will be right. Quite a gap in size and price! Cost is of course an issue, but so’s safety. Here’s the dilemma. Would anyone care to make observations?

Legally, of course. In Massachusetts? Thanks.
Also, I heard that if you are a member of one club, you may use the facilities at another (e.g. dining). Is this true?

I was watching the history channel and the statement was made that "like modern sailing yachts, Chinese junks were capable of sailing into the wind." Can someone explain to a lay person how a sailing ship can be propelled by wind INTO the wind? Or am I just misunderstanding the concept?

If you look, you really notice that an awful lot of yachts carry the British ensign, why? They’re not all British, judging by the names and the super-yachts owners are often in the press, who are not British, but fly the red ensign.

Is it because they’re channel island registered for tax reasons or is hostorical or something else?
