Thanks

I served 4 years on a Coast Guard ship and I am about to finish college. I want to get back on the water, preferably on board a mega-yacht. I have 3.5 years of navigation/operations experience and I would like to start out as a 3rd of maybe even a 1st mate. Is this possible?

Little something my dad was wondering. Ours is registered to Cold Spring Harbour, NY, and the owner (dad) is a US citizen, technically an expatriat, and not a British citizen. He would like to fly the red ensign from the stern, but the bloke at the yacht club in NY said he didn’t really know the protocol of the UK.
When I see all the huge yachts in places like St. Barts or Antigua, I always wonder who owns them. Where can I find out who owns these yachts? For example, the yacht named, "Chevy Toy" or the yacht named s/y Drumbeat.

My fiance and I are considering getting married in Tahiti. We want to charter a yacht and stay on it for 7 – 10 days. It will be just the two of us
I have heard that you can charter a yacht complete with captain and small crew. Does anyone know how to go about this, what the cost is, if it’s worthwhile?
We’re also open to other destinations if anyone has a good idea. Some we’ve discussed are Greece and Spain.
Thanks for any information!
