How do you start one up?
How many people at a minimum would it take to operate a large yacht (80-foot plus)?
I'm looking at buying a boat / yacht, more than likely 2nd hand. I don't know the first thing about berthing / mooring rates and how much it costs. I'd probably be keeping it down on the South coast (Lymington). I'd be looking to spend around £5K, maybe more or less depending on advice given. What would you buy with £5K (possibly up to £10K)?? And how much would it cost to keep? Please bare in mind I have little experience but am interested in owning one for trips over to the Isle of Wight / possibly fishing / relaxing and leisure. Thanks in advance.

What safety equipment would be a good idea? i know about life jackets ect.

Two boats collide, substantially damaging one and partially disabling her ability to manouvre but no injuries. Skipper of other yacht sails off without stopping. Does the skipper of that boat commit an offence under uk marine law.

If F1 does not continue to carry the financial cachet of recent years, but becomes known more for frugality, will it still attract the well endowed following that it currently has?
Come to that, will Monaco still be pleased to host a Grand Prix if the well healed choose to go to the polo instead?

I have just bought a 38" powerboat (cabin cruiser) in Biloxi, and wanting to try to get to the BVI or Bahamas. Also how long is this trip generally
I was wondering what should be the minimum spend one should expect to pay for a yacht that is capable of circumnavigating the globe. It can be basic, but safety is of course important. Can it be done for £50k? £80k? Thoughts?
